What is Team Beachbody, and how can it help me reach my fitness goals?

If you own a TV, you’ve seen the infomercials for P90X, Insanity, TurboFire, Ten Minute Trainer, etc.  All these workout programs (and many more) were created by one company, Beachbody.  Beachbody is the most successful health and fitness company of it’s kind.  They promote real solutions to real problem, and they do it all without gimmicks, tricks, quick fixes, or smoke and mirrors.  All the programs promise that if you Decide and Commit to the programs, you will Succeed.

One way that Beachbody is successful where other programs are not, is in the area of support.  Beachbody has a thriving community of users all centered around the Team Beachbody web site.  TeamBeachbody.com has tools, resources, tips, and most importantly support for anyone who becomes a member.  You don’t even have to be a Beachbody customer to join.  You just have to be interested in health and fitness.  Best of all, you can join with a “Regular” account which is FREE.  There is a “Club” account which costs about $2.99 a week, and includes premium tools such as meal plans and a 10% discount on all purchases.  A small price to pay for such valuable tools.  I personally have the Club account.

Team Beachbody accounts have many great features, but I wanted to highlight a few important ones.  First, everyone is assigned a real live human being as a Coach.  Second, is the message boards.  The third important feature is the profile and results tracking features.  Let’s explore each of these a little.

Free Coaching.  Yes, it’s true.  When you sign up for a Regular or Club account at Team Beachbody, you will be assigned a Coach.  This person is someone who has done the programs, and now wants to share their results, experience and enthusiasm with you.  They are there to support you, answer questions, recommend solutions, and to motivate you.  I am a coach, and I love supporting people with accountability and consistency.  Sign up for an account through this link, and I will be assigned as your coach.  Don’t worry, if you don’t like the coach you are assigned, it’s easy to change.

Message Boards.  You are not alone!  There are so many people on the boards, that it’s easy to make friends and meet new people.  Have questions?  The answers can probably be found on the boards.  Want to start a group centered around Diabetics doing TurboFire?  No problem.  You’ll find lots of volunteers to join you.  Want to join a group of 20 something guys looking to build muscle?  That’s out there too.  The message boards are a great way to meet people with common interests and goals.  It’s so much more fun to do these programs with friends than to do them alone.  I strongly recommend you get on the boards and find some friends for support, accountability and friendship.  You can find my thread here.  My thread is focused on accountability and getting to the finish line of any program.

Your Profile Page.  The profile page is pretty powerful once you start diving into all the features available.  Everything is there from before & after photos, weight loss tracking, workout scheduling, and even a blog for you to keep a diary of your progress.  You can see mine here.  I use mine for blogging major milestones in my progress.  I also track my weight and measurement history.  I’m also looking forward to having some awesome before and after pictures at some point.
